Katherine (Katie) Patrizi is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University. Katie is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space for individuals of all backgrounds, where clients feel valued, understood, and empowered. As a trauma-informed therapist, she recognizes the profound impact of past experiences and prioritizes creating a space where healing can occur at each client’s own pace. Katie’s approach emphasizes building a strong therapeutic alliance, fostering acceptance, and providing compassionate care. Her fieldwork experience includes addictions counseling as well as residential psychiatric treatment for adolescents. She is committed to staying up to date with the latest evidence-based practices to ensure that her clients receive the highest quality of care. When she is not in the office and working with clients, you can find Katie enjoying a book, listening to music, or watching penguins hockey.
